Paolo Spagnolo

I am a Researcher at the Institute of Applied Science and Intelligent Systems which is part of the Italian National Research Council. 

I graduated in Computer Science Engineering at the University of Salento (University of Lecce).

My current research includes multimedia signal processing, image processing and understanding.

In particular I am interested in image feature extraction and selection, neural network classifiers, object classification and Tracking.

Recently, I've been exploring the use of Deep Learning in computer vision applications.

My last research interest is hyperspectral imaging and its application in precision agriculture, fire prevention, marine pollution monitoring, and cultural heritage.
